I AM HOPING that the last domino falls on Bob Davie and he gets fired soon. … I believe I can get a petition of over a million names to get Davie fired, I might not have everyone’s permission to (put in) the petition but I can do It. I heard it’s already been done before. — NM native

I WAS surprised to see that Donald Trump’s name was omitted from the counselors list of Coach Davie supporters. — North Valley Wally

THE LADY LOBO fans are just as frustrated as Coach Bradbury and his staff must be. Too many easy missed layups, too many errant passes, too much dribbling. It’s late in the season to be seeing all of us. Come on ladies, let’s get it together before the tournament.

IN THE TEAM SPORTS,

American women play like men, but the American men play like little girls. — jimm soxx

I’M SURE THAT UNM assistant basketball coach Chris Harriman has been a great asset to Paul Weir with his coaching skills, Australian connections, and also guiding Weir through his initial season in the Mountain West Conference, specifically the nuances of traveling for the first time to each city. The reality, however, was that Harriman was staying on no matter who UNM hired as their head coach. Not even halfway through paying Craig Neal’s buyout of $40,000 a month for 24 months, no way Loboville was going to eat another $250,000 by also buying out Harriman. — Lobo BB Analyst

THE SPORTS PAGE had an article on LeBron James Sunday quoting him as saying “I mean too much to society” to stay silent about his political views. That may be the single most arrogant statement ever uttered. Who the hell does this man think he is that society can’t survive without his opinion being known(?) If he wants his views out, let him speak up like everyone else. But making a statement like “I mean too much to society” indicates his opinion of himself, not his views. — HK

CONGRATS TO Austin Dillon, driving the 3 car to victory, a la the intimidator style of Dale Earnhardt: bump and run to victory, lead, follow or get out of the way. Kudos to Eric Almirola during his post race interview, ot going off on Dillon’s racing tactics, graciously accepting defeat. — John J. Krapcha, ABQ

NOT ONLY are the Russians colluding in our elections, they managed to go after Lindsey Vonn during her super G run too. Investigate now. — JoeG
