Reflecting the values of city, community

-

With challenges ranging from the economy to education and the housing crisis, Santa Fe is blessed to have several talented candidates all hoping to dedicate themselves to moving the city forward as mayor. To be sure, we need all of them, but we must choose.

For me, Alan Webber stands head and shoulders above the others. Santa Fe’s challenges, combined with the critical change giving the mayor real authority and responsibility for city government means we need someone who is both an exceptional leader and an experienced manager. Alan’s considerable experience as an entrepreneur, business leader and management authority fills those urgent needs far better than the other candidates.

His résumé is beyond impressive: Co-founding editor-in-chief of Fast Company magazine; editorial director and managing editor of the Harvard Business Review; work across federal, state and local government; author of three books on management, business and the economy; advisor, board member and mentor to countless businesses, nonprofits, commissions and startups, as well as to major city mayors across the country, and more — could Santa Fe be any more fortunate than to have Alan as mayor?

Alan has seen it all and knows how the modern economy works. He can build a truly diversified and sustainable economy in our city — an economy that creates good paying jobs and opportunity for all. He’ll forge a thriving, vibrant Santa Fe that not only works for everyone, but also reflects our values. We can be the city and community we want to be. With Alan Webber as mayor leading the charge, we will move Santa Fe forward, together. BONN MACY Co-founder and director, Startup Santa Fe Santa Fe
