A FAMILY CAMPAIGN, the public is invited to sponsor a family with a tax-deductible financial contributi­on to the Rio Grande Food Project. THE SOUTHWEST, is seeking volunteers who love choral music to help support the singers at concerts throughout the season. All concerts are held in area churches. The schedule is very reasonable. THE WHEELS MUSEUM INC, a 501(c)(3), is seeking volunteers to repair and build exhibits, membership and fundraisin­g campaigns, presentati­ons and general help to establish a transporta­tion museum on the downtown Albuquerqu­e steam locomotive repair site. Call 243-6269.

PAWS THRIFT STORE, a local nonprofit project of Cottonwood Cats Sanctuary, is seeking volunteers to work in three-or four-hour shifts in the store located near Menaul and Washington. Proceeds from the thrift store support a planned sanctuary (permanent home) for cats who outlived their human caretakers/owners. This sanctuary will also provide a permanent home for geriatric cats who have failed to be adopted at other local shelters. ALBUQUERQU­E READS, is a literacy developmen­t program and is looking for volunteers to tutor kindergart­en students in the morning for about 1½ hours, 1-3 times per week.
