Houston batters OKC for 16th straight win

OKLAHOMA CITY — Chris Paul scored 25 points and the Houston Rockets beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 122-112 on Tuesday night for their 16th straight win.

James Harden had 23 points and 11 assists, and Trevor Ariza added 15 points for the Rockets, who are on the second-longest win streak in franchise history.

Russell Westbrook scored 32 points and Carmelo Anthony added 23 for Oklahoma City, which is in a logjam of teams trying to fight their way into third place in the West.

Oklahoma City had beaten several of the league’s top teams this season. The Thunder has two wins over Golden State, a victory over Toronto and a win over Cleveland this season. The Rockets avoided that fate by going 17-for-33 on 3-pointers and 29-for-34 on free throws.

RAPTORS 106, HAWKS 90: In Toronto, DeMar DeRozan scored 25 points and Jonas Valanciuna­s had 15 as Toronto beat Atlanta.

C.J. Miles added 14 points, and Delon Wright and Serge Ibaka each had 10 as the Eastern Conference leaders won for the 12th time in 13 games.

The Raptors are 27-5 at home, the best record in the NBA WARRIORS 114, NETS 101: In Oakland, Calif., Steph Curry scored 34 points to lead Golden State past Brooklyn for its sixth straight victory.

In the first quarter the Warriors went on a 25-0 run, yet still trailed at the half 53-48. WIZARDS 117, HEAT 113 (OT): In Washington, Bradley Beal scored 30 points as Washington had its best 3-point shooting night of the season in a win over Miami.

Beal went 6-for-7 from beyond the arc, leading a Washington team that finished 14-for-24 there.

76ERS 128, HORNETS 114: In Charlotte, N.C., Robert Covington scored 22 points and rookie Ben Simmons flirted with a triple-double as Philly Charlotte its fourth straight loss.

Simmons had 16 points, 13 assists and eight rebounds as the 76ers won for the third time in four games. TRAIL BLAZERS 111, KNICKS 87: In Portland, Ore., Damian Lillard scored 37 points and made eight 3-pointers as Portland won its eighth straight game with a victory over New York.

CJ McCollum added 19 points for the Blazers. MAVERICKS 118, NUGGETS 107: In Dallas, Yogi Ferrell rode hot 3-point shooting to a season-high 24 points, and Dirk Nowitzki also was strong from long range to score 17 as Dallas beat Denver. PELICANS 121, CLIPPERS 116: In Los Angeles, Anthony Davis scored 41 points for New Orleans in a win over Los Angeles.
