Poet to discuss, sign his latest collection

AT BOOKWORKS: Kurt

Olsson will discuss and sign his book of poetry “Burning Down Disneyland” at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 29.

Olsson is the author of one previous collection of poetry, “What Kills What Kills Us” (Silverfish Review Press). He lives and works just outside Washington, D.C.

Kristina Jacobsen will release her new CD “Elemental” with Meredith Wilder and Camille Grey at 7 p.m. Friday, March 30.

This collection of essays and interviews presents 36 contributo­rs to this emerging movement discussing a broad range of topics — activism, health care, education, LGBT issues, the environmen­t, to name a few — affecting the political and cultural environmen­t of future generation­s.

“Unremarkab­le” describes 1920s Chicago postal employee Saul Imbierowic­z as he is unwittingl­y swept up in a citywide conflict between rival gangs, federal agents and supernatur­al forces beyond his control.
