Griselda Toledo,

93, was called home to be with her Lord Jesus on March 21, 2018.

She was born on December 14, 1924 in Belen, NM to Salomon and Maria Alfides Gonzales.

She was a loving wife, devoted mother, caring grandmothe­r and great-grandmothe­r. Griselda was a woman of faith and held great devotion to our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and always looked forward to receiving Him in the Holy Eucharist. Griselda always encouraged her children to get their education. She was accepting of everyone and she was always so giving. She made sure no one left her house without something to eat or at least a cup of coffee. She touched the lives of those she met along her life’s journey. She was a lifelong parishione­r of St. Edwin Catholic Church in the South Valley, which was her home for over 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio A. Toledo; daughter, Clara Sedillo; grandson, Tony Toledo; her parents and siblings. She is survived by her children, Alex Toledo, Judy Casaus and husband, Tino, Bobby Toledo and wife, Olga, Miguel Toledo and wife, Vicentita, Elena Gutierrez and partner, Mike, son-in-law, Norman Sedillo; 12 grandchild­ren and 13 great-grandchild­ren. She will be greatly missed and remembered always by her family and friends who love her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p .m. at FRENCH – University and from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Edwin Catholic Church, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona Rd SW, with a reception to follow at the parish hall. Interment will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11:15 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband. The family would like to give a special Thank You to her caregivers: Yolanda Solano, Isabel Ortiz, Maria Martinez, Patricia Diaz, Rachel Atencio, Ina Gonzales, Tiffany Wittkofsky, and massage therapist, Sonia Rascon for their love and compassion­ate care. The family would also like to thank Legacy Hospice, especially Teresa Quijada for her loving care of our mom.
