Herman Anthony Lutz, Jr., born in

Fort Smith, AR to Herman and Luella on December

27, 1929, passed peacefully to his heavenly home on March 26, 2018 at the age of 88.

He was a long-time resident of Lake Wales, FL and recently residing in Albuquerqu­e, NM. Herman was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa and friend. He was loved by many. Herman was an avid fisherman, plumber, bowler, pilot and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member. Most importantl­y, he was a family man and friend to all he met. Even though the house was always full, there was always room for one more. Everyone was welcome.

Herman is survived by his beautiful and loving wife of 67 years, Mary (Werner); his 14 children and their spouses, Herman III (Barbara), Fred (Sue), Tom (Tzivia), Nancy (Phil), Rose (Ron), Gloria (Tom), Marian, Mike (Charlene), Daniel, Helen, David (Mercedes), Don (Christy), Dennis (Mary) and Stephen (Heather) as well as 39 grandchild­ren and 17 great-grandchild­ren. He is also survived by his brothers, Jimmy, Ben and John Paul as well as his sister, Mary Luella. Herman was preceded in death by his son Rick; his parents, Herman and Luella; brothers, Joe and Bill and sister, Sr. Antonia.

A visitation will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Wyoming with a Rosary immediatel­y following at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 13, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciati­on Church; 2532 Vermont St. NE.
