Win $120,000 weekdays at The Downs and enjoy great music
Adraw of the cards could mean big money for lucky guests this April at The Downs Racetrack & Casino.
The “$120,000 Cash in the Cards” promotion takes place Monday through Friday this month. There will be three winners selected during each drawing at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. The selected winners have a chance at up to $800 in cash just by flipping over individual cards.
Young-at-heart patrons age 50 or older get their own day at The Downs during “Senior Fridays.” Senior guests receive a virtual game when they earn one point on Fridays, and have a chance to win between $5 and $25 in free play. Seniors can also win cash or free play prizes every two hours between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Fridays.
Weekends are time for four daily progressives of approximately $500 each on Saturdays and Sundays. Total prizes paid are about $2,000 each of those days. Triple Crown Players Club members qualify for the promotion when they earn 250 base points during the qualifying timeline on each promotion day.
Make the most of your play on Wednesdays when guests earn five times the points. Players Club members with an April birthday can earn an additional three times the points on their actual birthday and two times the points every Tuesday this month.
The Downs continues its “Instant Hit” promotion on Wednesdays, with 15 drawings each Wednesday. Guests qualify when they accrue 25 base points within 30 minutes prior to each drawing. All prizes are free play and must be used within 48 hours of a win. There will be 60 winners each promotion day. On Thursday, the “Early Bird” promotion carries on for guests who earn 50 base points. A bonus wheel will appear on their game to win between $5 and $500 in free play. The promotion ends when a total of $500 is awarded that day.
The Downs has quite the party for country music lovers on Saturday, April 21, in the First Turn Lounge. CountryFest will feature your favorite country songs and videos on a 20-foot HDTV by all iHeart Country Festival artists. Guests also will have the chance to attend the event. A winner will be drawn for a trip for two to Austin, Texas, to attend the big iHeart Radio event.
The First Turn Lounge has live entertainment every weekend. Tonight, DJ Mister E will keep the party going. Gonzalo will perform on April 27 and 28, and Ladies’ Night continues every Thursday, with Tequila Rain performing April 26. Patrons enjoy all the entertainment without a cover charge.
The Downs has a busy May planned, celebrating the Kentucky Derby (wagering begins May 4) and Cinco de Mayo on May 5. Then, on May 13, treat your mom to a special Mother’s Day brunch for $39 per person.
