Vicente (Vince) R. Sanchez passed away on April 17, 2018.

He is survived by his daughter, Reese Violet Sanchez; her mother, Cathe Sanchez; parents, Rafael and Jeannette Sanchez; sister, Theresa Lynn Watson; brother-in-law, Jerry Watson; his pal Lunchbox, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Vince was active in APS (Albuquerqu­e Public Schools) sports and the swimming community. Vince was Head Swim Coach at La Cueva High School as well as coaching in different roles for swim clubs within Albuquerqu­e.

He taught social studies, keyboardin­g, and computer technology at McKinley Middle School before becoming a small business owner. Vince graduated from La Cueva High School and the University of New Mexico after attending and swimming for Texas Christian University (a place always close to his heart).

Vince was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers and Dave Matthews Band fan. He loved comic books and Star Wars, and there isn’t a Kevin Smith movie that he didn’t know by heart. He loved his friends and family dearly.

He was always the person people went to for help, and he gladly gave his time and energy to all. Vince is missed today, tomorrow and will forever be in our hearts.

Celebratio­n of his life will be held at Copper Pointe Church, 10500 Copper Ave. N.E., Albuquerqu­e, NM 87123 April 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. If possible please wear Dodger blue or La Cueva apparel.
