Tracy Stuart

Neil, age 56, beloved husband, father and son passed away on April 17, 2018 following a brief, but hard fought battle with cancer.

Tracy, a fifth generation New Mexican, was born to Donald J. and Evelyn Neil on July 14, 1961 in Albuquerque. He began his life-long career with Kachina Petroleum Equipment as a teen working under the tutelage of his father and mother and later as partner alongside his brother, Brent. He was well respected for his knowledge and expertise in the field of retail and wholesale petroleum dispensing and storage equipment. Can’t was never a part of his vocabulary. When asked to tackle a particularly difficult task, he never hesitated but replied, "Okie Dokie" and set out to resolve the issue.

Tracy was not only a father to Devin, but a surrogate father to the many young people he mentored and in a number of instances helped to pay for their higher educations. His love for golfing and for the water and boating afforded him and Wendy many warm friendships and happy memories.

Tracy was preceded in death by his father, Donald. He is survived by his beloved wife, Wendy; his son, Devin and wife, Sonia; along with his mother, Evelyn; brother, Brent Neil and his wife, Michelle; nephew, Nicholas Neil; and nieces, Emily and Hayley Neil. He will be greatly missed by his Uncle Jay Schaefer (Claire), his Aunt Betty Miller (Darryl), John Neil (Betsy) and also by his cousins, Julie Briggs (Suzie Silva), Sharon Jalene, Paul Briggs (Kristy) and Cameron Schaefer (Marelize). Surviving is his mother-in-law, Joan Eaton and special niece, Jesure along with many friends, long-time employees and business clients.

In Tracy’s memory donations may be made to your favorite charity. Services will begin on Sunday, April 22, 2018, 1:00 p. m., at Prairie Star, 288 Prairie Star Road, Santa Ana Pueblo with a reception to follow.
