Sacred Wind gives books to schools
Sacred Wind employees pass out new books to students.
Sacred Wind Communications Community Connect Inc., the nonprofit arm of Sacred Wind Communications Inc., presented new books to students at Bluewater Elementary School, Mesa View Elementary School in Grants, Dzilth-Na-O-DithHle School, Baca School, and Hanaadli Dorm School. The donations were in partnership with Kids Need to Read — a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children excel in reading.
“Sacred Wind is committed to being an active partner in the communities we serve and to give back every way we can,” said John Badal, CEO of Sacred Wind Communications. “Our team is passionate about increasing educational opportunities for children and fostering a love of learning. We want children in rural areas to have access to the same resources and opportunities of those living in urban areas.”
SWCCC and Kids Need to Read joined together at the schools to read to children and present them with donated books for their school libraries. Additionally, students were given books of their own to take home.
“We’re thankful for the work done by Kids Need to Read, and we’re honored to have been able to partner with them,” added Badal. “It is our hope that the children we have visited enjoy their new books and the additions to their school libraries, and that these books spark additional interest in reading and learning.”
