AT TREASURE HOUSE BOOKS & GIFTS:
Amador Publishers will hold a clearance sale from noon-4 p.m. today. The press was established in Albuquerque in 1986, and continues to publish a variety of books, many of them award winners. Author-artist Zelda Leah Gatuskin, who took over the press in 2010 from founders Adela Amador and Harry Willson, will be on hand throughout the day, and will give brief talks at 1 and 3 p.m. All titles will be on sale, as well as collectible art and artifacts from Amador’s pre-digital days.
Margaret Tessler will talk about “Relative Danger” from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 5. After 20 years as an outcast, Jossenda Ledesma suddenly shows up at a family gathering. She latches onto Becca Sandoval, a relative newcomer to the clan. To escape Jossenda’s grasp, Becca must uncover the reasons for the hostility Jossenda generates, and learn what’s behind the cloistered order she has joined.
