BLESSINGS FOR BURQUE, an organization that helps the homeless population, is holding their 3rd Annual BBQ at the Park on Saturday, June 23, from 2-5 p.m. at Coronado Park. This event is very different from other events in that our homeless here in ABQ are the honored guests. Live music, food, organizations providing services to the homeless and much more will be part of the afternoon. Blessing for Burque is collecting items to fill at least 200 backpacks to distribute and needs help with donations. The items range from non-perishable foods to socks to first aid items, and the list goes on. If you can help, visit blessingsforburque.com to see the list of needs, or to donate money to help purchase the needed items. The organization will happily arrange to pick up donated items in larger quantities. For more information, email blessingsforburque@gmail.com or lindaelli825@gmail.com.
