Harley-Davidson joins blood drives

-

Harley-Davidson and United Blood Services have joined forces throughout New Mexico & the Four Corners area to save lives. Harley dealers in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Roswell, Farmington and Durango are proud to team up with United Blood Services to sponsor blood drives and are asking their local community members to donate life saving blood. Donors are encouraged to donate to a local blood drive in their community so that local hospital patients can receive the life saving blood transfusions they require. The blood drives will be held in different locations during the month of May.

In addition to saving lives, donors will receive a cool t-shirt and all donors names will be entered into a drawing for the chance to win a new HarleyDavidson motorcycle courtesy of United Blood Services and Durango Harley-Davidson.

All blood types are needed. Join the HarleyDavidson dealers in New Mexico and the Four Corners region and save lives throughout the month of May. Volunteer blood donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Additional height/weight requirements apply to donors 23 and younger, and donors who are 16 and 17 years old must have a signed permission form from a parent or legal guardian.

To schedule an appointment or for additional information, call 505-246-1457 or go to www.bloodhero.com and enter sponsor code “Harley” to select a blood drive near you.

United Blood Services has been this area’s nonprofit community blood provider since 1951 and serves patients in 47 hospitals in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona and Utah.
