The Isotopes are back. They’ve returned to Albuquerque after an eight-game trip and will attempt to improve their 7-9 home record when they begin a season-long eight-game homestand against Reno tonight at 6:35.

The ’Topes (20-20), who have won seven of their last 10 games, are coming off a 10-3 win at Las Vegas highlighted by five home runs on Tuesday. Albuquerque went 5-3 during its eightgame road trip through Nevada.

Right-hander Jeff Hoffman (1-3, 5.47 ERA) is scheduled to make the start for the ’Topes tonight.

Friday’s game features the first of three giveaways during the homestand. Bobbleheads of Taco, the humorous character of promotional outfield races at home games, will be given to the first 2,500 fans when gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Friday’s game, against the Aces, will also be Storybook Night, as fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite literary character.

Fireworks and the final of three Little League Nights will take place on Saturday for the ’Topes’ game against Reno that starts at 6:35 p.m. A pre-game parade will feature the Little Leaguers from across the community.

There will be an Isotopes hat giveaway for Sunday’s game at 1:35 p.m. for the first 3,000 fans, 18 years and older, who enter when the gates open at 12:30 p.m. The ’Topes will also honor first responders during Public Safety Day, as they can receive a special discounted ticket.

An Isotopes Card Team Set will be the giveaway on Wednesday against Salt Lake for the first 3,000 fans.

Isotopes Park will also host a book drive throughout the homestand. Fans can drop off children’s books and receive a ticket voucher good for any Monday-through-Thursday home game, excluding July 4.
