URBAN LAND INSTITUTE NEW MEXICO is holding a luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1:15 p.m. at Hotel Andaluz, 125 2nd NW. The featured speaker will be Greg Lindsay, speaking on “Why ABQ Is North America’s Last Great Aerotropol­is.” Lindsay is a journalist, futurist and speaker. He is co-author of “Aerotropol­is: The Way We’ll Live Next.” Lindsay and a panel of local experts will discuss developmen­t of the Sunport area. The cost for members is $35, with discounts for nonprofits and students; the charge for nonmembers is $50, with discounts for nonprofits, students and those under 35.

FIRST NATIONS COMMUNITY HEALTHSOUR­CE is collaborat­ing with the city’s Indian Affairs Commission and Innovate + Educate to hold an Native American Resource Summit. It will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Barelas Community Center, 801 Barelas SW. The idea is to bring together local service providers to exchange ideas to better serve Native Americans living in the Albuquerqu­e area. The focus for this year’s summit is housing and job placement/education.

INNOVATE + EDUCATE is holding its annual Job-Ready Hire Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the African American Performing Arts Center, 310 San Pedro NE. THE NEW MEXICO BOOK CO-OP will hold its monthly meeting at Golden Corral, 5207 San Mateo NE. Networking begins at 11 a.m., and the meeting starts at noon. Featured will be Wyatt Wegrzyn of Bookworks, talking about “the new chapter at Bookworks.” The book store on Rio Grande NW is undergoing a makeover with new constructi­on, events and promotions. Also to be discussed are the New Mexico and Arizona Book Awards. The lunch is open to the public; those who attend must pay for their own buffet lunch.
