Steven B. Cobos

-

Dale Earnhardt once said, “You can’t let one bad moment spoil a bunch of good ones.” Our avid racing fan, adoring husband, creative uncle, and loving brother, Steven Bradley Cobos, passed away May 17, 2018. He was 56.

Steve always had a story and he loved his family passionately. He enjoyed anything and everything about cars (or anything with wheels, for that matter). He was also a graphic design artist and enjoyed creating custom hybrid cars, such as his famous “Corvero SS.” However, one of his greatest passions was setting up and maintaining some of the most beautiful fish tanks you have ever seen. He opened his own business in Albuquerque and was known as “The Fish Guy.” He once told us he dreamed of having a swim-in fish tank the size of his living room filled with colorful reef and saltwater fish.

Steve is survived by his wife of 28 years, Theresa Cobos; his step-son, Steven Alderete; his sister, Michele Moore; his friend and brother-in-law, Mike Moore; his dad, Robert Hayden, and many other loving family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his step-son, Christopher McKissick; his mother, Holly Hayden, and his grandmother, Tomasita DeBaca.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Westside, 9300 Golf Course Road NW in Albuquerque. A pot luck Reception will follow at the same location.
