Patricia Sass

Patricia Sass, age 67, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 15th, 2018. Trish was known for her love for animals - especially dogs and pitbulls in particular, who she found to be a gentle and tender breed. She loved her dogs Jessica and Bocci, and the departed Baby Red, Zaz, and Max with all her heart and would have been elated to see every unwanted animal have a home.

Patricia was a wonderful and caring mother and aunt, who derived her greatest pleasures in life from the achievements of her son Michael Usner (software engineer) and his family, her nephew Marc Trujillo (celebrated painter and professor), and niece Molly Losh (developmental psychologist and associate professor). Patricia was the source of many adventures for the family and always made sure her son had fun, took risks, and was loved above all else.

She is preceded by her parents Edward J. Sass and wife Harriett, and sister Marie Trujillo. She is survived by her her son Michael Usner, wife Rebecca and their children, Zachary Romero, Ava Usner, and Ian Usner, her nephew Marc Trujillo, her sister Carol Sass and her daughter Molly Losh, and William Rogers, who cared for her in the time leading up to her passing. The family will always regard William as a warm and loving partner to Patricia in her life.
