ALBUQUERQU­E – Marcella Marie (Mills) Smith, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 20, 2018, punctuatin­g a long, beautiful 86-year long life. Marcella was born March 6, 1932, in Lemmon, SD, to Glenn E. and Elaine (Casady) Mills, attending school at Lolo Creek and in Missoula, MT. While living most her life in New Mexico, her heart always stayed in Montana. She held many waitressin­g jobs including in her mother’s Elaine’s Cafe in Lolo. She relocated to NM with her second husband, Smitty. They became members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She held many local and state auxiliary offices, lastly Four Corner’s Regional President. She was extremely proud of her 35-year career as an income tax profession­al with H&R Block serving many years as office manager and instructor. After retirement she enjoyed her church and Sundays with her girlfriend­s playing table games. Her life was always brightened with music, and she listened to both kinds; country and western. Marcella was preceded in death by her husband Spurgeon F. Smith, her parents, and brothers: Don Nesbitt, David Mills, Howard Mills, Robert (Bob) Mills, and Les Mills. She is survived by her children Helen and Don Steele, Fred and Denny Guenzler, Angie and Jim Whenry, Jerri and Eric Pohl, and Roger Smith, eight grand-children and 11 great-grandchild­ren, many nieces and nephews, cousins and lots of friends. Memorial services will be held at First Christian Church on June 4, 2018 and 2:00 pm.
