Clyde M. Gilman,

77, of Albuquerqu­e, NM went home to heaven on Tuesday, June

5, 2018, after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Peggy of Albuquerqu­e; daughters, Debra, Connie, and Kimberly, all of Albuquerqu­e; sons, Danny of Missouri and Mike Keeney of Albuquerqu­e; sister, Faye Satterfiel­d of Roswell; 11 grandchild­ren; 17 great grandchild­ren; and one great-great-grandchild. Clyde was born in 1941 in Portales, NM. He was "Born Again" in 1959, in Tulsa, OK through the witness of a co-worker. In 1963, Clyde surrendere­d to preach at the Southwest Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK under the ministry of Pastor Bill Simmons. He graduated from Bible College in 1967 and began pastoring the same year. He was an Independen­t Baptist Preacher that pastored six churches, two of which he started. He pastored in OK, TX, CO, and NM. He surrendere­d to preach 55 years ago, pastored for 50 years, and retired after 37 years as Pastor of Bella Vista Baptist Church in Albuquerqu­e, NM. For 37 years, he hosted an annual Labor Day Bible Conference that has been a help and encouragem­ent to many pastors and laymen around the country. Friends may visit Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018, 1:00 p.m. at Bella Vista Baptist Church, 2800 Louisiana Blvd NE with a viewing to begin at 12:00 p. m. – 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
