We can’t be safe and support illegal immigration

-

EDER ORTIZ-Parra. Edwin Edsel Ortiz-Parra. Rafael Gonzalez-Parra. Who are these men and why do I start this letter to the editor with their names? These men, Mexican nationals illegally in the United States, have been tried and convicted of murdering three other Mexican nationals in our community. These are the men state Rep. Patricia Roybal Caballero, D-Albuquerque, would protect from deportation if her sponsored legislation were to become law in this state. Men like these would also be protected now that our City Council and Mayor Tim Keller have (made) Albuquerque an “immigrantfriendly city.”

In the mind of Roybal Caballero and other politicians afflicted with their feeble-minded thinking, President Trump is a bully that wants to separate families and tear children away from their mothers. The real bullies, however, are these progressive politicians that want to force the citizens of the United States to accept foreign nationals that have chosen to break our immigration laws and invade our country, effectively rendering us a nation with no border.

This country takes in one million immigrants a year on average, and it is not fair to bully and harangue our citizens that it is somehow their responsibility to remedy a situation that was forced on them by teeming illegal aliens bringing their children to the United States. The media do our citizens no favors either by printing stories, and the Journal is guilty of this, that portray (undocumented immigrants) in a positive light. I challenge the Journal to go out there and find a victim of crime committed by an (undocumented immigrant) or tell the story of an American whose identity has been stolen by (one). We know that this is possible; the IRS has reported that 1.5 million Americans have had their Social Security numbers stolen by (undocumented immigrants).
