A celebratio­n of life memorial viewing is scheduled Friday, June 29th, at Riverside Funeral Home for Richard Aragon. Richard, 64, beloved husband, father, grandfathe­r, greatgrand­father, and friend, passed away peacefully Friday, June 22, 2018, surrounded by his family, his wife, Susan, his daughters, Stephanie and Erica, and his son, Paul.

Richard loved his family, his friends, and his community, and showed it through continuous acts of kindness both small and large. A dedicated servant of God, as a faithful Jehovah’s Witness.

The co-owner of his family’s cattle ranch, the P.A. Cattle Company, Richard loved the outdoors, hunting, and spending time on the family ranch outside of Cuba, NM and in the Jemez mountains. Born in Cuba, NM, Richard served in the US Army, including a tour in Germany. He went on to work as an electricia­n and retired from a career at the Veteran’s Administra­tion Hospital in Albuquerqu­e.

He was the life of the party, a jokester who kept everyone aound him laughing every day.

Thank you, Dad, for the wonderful life you gave us, the smiles we shared and the smile on our faces whenever we remember the times we shared with you. We love you always.

His death was preceded by his parents Pablo and Carmelita Aragon of Cuba, NM, his sister Henrietta, and brother Jimmy. Survivors include his wife of 33 years Susan and their children Stephanie and Bill Strode, Erica Aragon and Ricky Hernandez, Paul and Roxanne Aragon; his grandchild­ren Victoria, Lauren, Alexander, Evangeline; his great-grandchild­ren Nevaeh, Eric, and Emma; his brothers and sisters Annie and Bob Ashe, Ed and Amelia Aragon, Manuel and Vivian Crespin, Margaret and Alfred Gutierrez, Susan Crespin, Magdalena Aragon and John Risley, Johnny and Irene Aragon, Leonard and Marilyn Aragon, Julius and Celina Aragon, Gloria Aragon; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him so much.
