GOLDEN NINJAS: The Ninja ’07 boys team from the Meadow City Soccer Club in Las Vegas, N.M., came away from the state’s largest (97 teams) 3v3 soccer tournament in Roswell last week with the gold medal.

FISHING: Learn to catch the big one Saturday during the free fly-casting clinic at Sipapu Sky Resort. Beginning at 10:30 a.m., the clinic will discuss how the fly rod, reel and line work together; the three elements that form a good cast; how to cast overhand and backhand, even in the wind; and how to shoot line out and strip line in.
