Night program at Abo ruins

Abo Visitor Center will host an astronomy program Saturday from 7-11 p.m.

There will be two rock art tours leaving from the visitor’s center at 7 and will be followed by a ruins tour. The second tour will be rock art only and will leave the visitor’s center at 7:30 p.m.

As the skies darken, telescopes will be available for guided night sky viewing.

Please bring red lights (to preserve night vision) and a light jacket. Water and sturdy shoes are also recommended.

Abo Ruins is part of the Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument and is west of Mountainair.
