“The Masters. I have been there. It’s just about the beauty of the golf course and how nice it is for the fans. Also, just the tradition of the golf course. Every year you come back you recognize all the holes. Sunday pins are always in the same place. It’s always an exciting finish, except for Tiger, no one really runs away with the thing. It’s usually close at the end. It’s a tremendous fan experience. The golf course is perfect. They don’t just fill in divots with sand, they put grass back in the divots. The restrooms, they are buildings and they have a valet in there who hands you a towel to dry your hands when you leave. There are no cell phones allowed but there are phone booths that can be used for free, for calls anywhere in the world. The merchandise is great. That’s the only way you can buy stuff is there, not online. It’s a tremendous event with such great tradition. Sometimes I like the U.S. Open setup and sometimes I don’t, but the Masters is always the same. I’m going to the 2019 Masters.”

“The British Open. I think the Masters is a great tournament, but it’s too choreographed. The U.S. Open, the USGA has kind of screwed with that too much. The objective, I understand, is to identify the best player, but I think par has to be a gray score. The Open? To me that’s real golf. You tee it up, maybe it’s going to be green, maybe it’s going to be soft, maybe it’s going to be firm, maybe it’s going to be nice, maybe it isn’t.”

“I’d have to say the Masters. Because the spectators are more respectful, for one. At the rest of the events, the fans get too rowdy. Just the way they run the tournament is just really perfect.”
