Bookworks to host guitarist from NYC

Friedlande­r will play classical guitar at 3 p.m. today. Friedlande­r is from New York City and has studied guitar since age 12 and performed nationally and internatio­nally in art gallery showings, private functions and affairs, senior centers and in music schools.

Calico the kitten embarks on a very dangerous journey through the New

Mexico desert. On his way he meets a mysterious white coyote, and Calico must decide if he can trust that the coyote wants to keep him safe.

Barbara Langner will sign “The Chocolate Murder” from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4.

The chocolate-covered body looks like the creation of a giant Easter bunny. Peering into the bakery window, Monica Walters sees a woman slathered with chocolate sprawled on the floor in front of the glass cases filled with pastries.

Because Monica doesn’t see oozing blood or fragments of brain tissue, she remains calm and calls police.
