The Downs offers chance to roll dice to win up to $10,000 cash
Your share of up to $10,000 cash might be just a roll of the dice away this August at The Downs Racetrack & Casino.
Drawings for the “$125,000 Roll to Win” promotion take place every two hours from noon to 10 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Three winners will be chosen in each drawing. Each guest selected in the drawings has a chance to win $50 to $10,000 cash.
Saturdays and Sundays are reserved for the “$24,000 Cash Weekends” promotion. Drawings will be held every two hours from 2 to 10 p.m. There will be three $200 cash winners for each drawing.
New Triple Crown Players Club members automatically have a chance to win up to $500 in free play when they enroll. New enrollments in the players club will earn 15 base points on the day of their enrollment.
The excitement of playing at The Downs can stir up an appetite. The Crown Room inside The Downs is now offering player’s club members a casual dining menu to order from and daily specials. This month’s casual dining menu features smoked gouda macaroni and cheese topped with onions and served with garlic bread and a beverage for $6.99. On Thursdays, chow down on some huevos rancheros for $4.99 between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Casual dining always is available at the Downs Cafe. Seated dining is available from 4 to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Have a mini-feast with a serving of a prime rib queen portion for $12.95 or a prime rib king serving for $16.95, along with other complete dinners featuring grilled pork chop, salmon, chicken and more.
On Thursdays, get your fill of the Downs Cafe’s all-you-can-eat fried or baked chicken dinner for $9.99 between 5 and 10 p.m.
The Downs Cafe offers a feast for the family on Sundays with its all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $13.99 for ages 11 and older and $10.99 for ages 10 and younger.

Every Thursday is Ladies’ Night, with drink specials and no cover charge. Dance the night away with Severo y Grupo Fuego on Aug. 9, the Westwind Band on Aug. 16, Tequila Rain on Aug. 23, and Str8 Shot on Aug. 30.
The party continues on Fridays and Saturdays, with Black Pearl taking the stage tonight and Saturday, Aug. 4, Tequila Rain performing Aug. 10 and 11, Fat City tearing it up on Aug. 17 and 18, Gonzalo laying it down on Aug. 24 and 25, and DJ Mister E spinning your favorite songs on Aug. 31.
Don’t miss First Turn Lounge’s ’90s House Party on Sept. 1. The event will feature ’90s music and videos on 30 screens and on a 20-foot HDTV on the patio. Cash prizes will be given out for the best ’90s attire.
