Carol "Suzie" Wood

Carol"Suzie" Wood entered into eternal peace on August 3, 2018, following a

2 ½ year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Carol was a lifelong resident of Albuquerqu­e,

NM. She was the daughter of the late Jerrel and Dorothy Britton. She graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1985 and worked as a paralegal until her death.

She was predecease­d by her parents; her sister-in-law Debbie Britton and nephew Mick Gabaldon. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her second mother, Josie Britton; her husband of 33 years, John Wood; son Joshua (Katie) Wood; daughter Nicole (Nick) Woloshuk; granddaugh­ters Gracelyn Jane and Caroline Hope Wood; sisters, Cheryl (Terry) Sanders and Sabrina (Chris) Goettker; brother Darrel (Christina) Britton; mother-in-law Martha Snyder; sister-in-law Sandi (Andy) Ashbacher; brother-in-law Jeff (Renee) Wood; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and cherished friends. She also leaves behind her beloved fur baby, Nala.

Her family and friends gave her much joy from the day she was born, until the day that she died. She could not have wished for better people to spend her time with on earth.

Cremation has taken place. At the request of Carol, no services will be held but she wishes that each of you remember her fondly and spend as much quality time as you can with your loved ones. Our time on earth is too short. She will see you again in Heaven. Her family would like to thank her beloved friend Suzanna Tenorio and the loving caregivers at UNM Cancer Center, Sandoval Regional Medical Center, and Presbyteri­an Home Hospice.
