Santa Ana Star Casino promotions mark chile season
The smell of roasted chile will soon fill the air, and Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel is celebrating with some hot promotions.
Chile season has arrived at the casino, with its “Roasted Riches.” Guests can earn entries with every 500 points they accrue through Sept. 15.
Drawings will be held at 8 p.m. Saturdays. Three guests will be chosen every week. Each selected patron will get the chance to play to win a top cash prize of $150,000. The person with the highest score from the game will win a year’s supply of roasted green chile.
The casino is keeping things spicy with the “Chile Chile Bang Bang Green Chile” giveaway.
Star Rewards Club members who earn 250 points will receive a free 1-pound bag of roasted green chile while supplies last. Guests can earn a maximum of four bags per day. The promotion is valid from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today through Sunday, Aug. 19.
The hot promotions continue with “Bring the Heat Hot Seats” today through Sunday. Two winners will be selected each hour between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day of the promotion. Each winner will receive a 40-pound sack of freshly roasted green chile and $20 in free play. The casino will roast the chile in front of the casino.
The Stage inside Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel is known for its celebrity comedy shows as well as its Stand Up Comedy Thursdays. Tonight, former football player turned comedian Joel McHale takes the stage for a big night of comedy. McHale, who starred on NBC’s “Community” and now has his own Netflix series, will perform tonight at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
The August comedy wraps up with funny guys Mike Brody and Ali Sultan on Aug. 23 and Rocky Dale David and Alvin Newsome on Aug. 30.
