Marie Morelle Tulloch

Marie Morelle Tulloch, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on September 2, 2018 at Brookdale Valencia in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Marie was born to Joseph and Teresa Morelle in Utica, New York.

She was a graduate of Mohawk Valley Community College and worked in sales before starting a family with her husband James Reynolds. In the mid 1950’s Marie and her second husband, Frederick Tulloch, moved with Marie’s two children to Syracuse, New York where she was active in her children’s school PTA and worked for the Board of Elections. As her six children grew older she began her career outside of the home at Dey Brothers Department store in downtown, Syracuse. At the age of 64 she received a degree from Central City Business Institute and began a new chapter in the personnel department at the Onondaga Public Library.

Marie loved to dance and was an avid reader. She was very involved in local politics and woman’s issues and her children and grandchildren carry on those passions today. In 2001 Marie retired to Albuquerque ,New Mexico, where three of her children resided.

Marie is survived by her children, Alan (Lakshmi) Reynolds, Beth (Christopher) Fasano, Christine (David) Kahn, Kathleen Tulloch, and Kimberly Guinnip. Grandchildren, Caitlin, Kelly, Ariadne, Ellie, Morgan, Aiden, Maggie, Devin, Lauren and Owyn; and great-granddaughter Amelie. And Brother Francis, sisters-in-law Rosalie, Julie and Donna. As well as many nephews, nieces and good friends.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Teresa, her brothers Ronald, Walter and Gilbert, Sisters-in-law Dolores and Jane, her son Arthur and son-in-law Peter.

Please join her family on September 7, 2018 for a tribute to Marie at 6:00pm followed by a party celebrating Marie’s life at O’Neil’s Pub, 4310 Central Ave. SE, Albuquerque, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marie’s memory to the Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico, 5840 Office Blvd. NE, New Mexico.
