Buffalo Thunder offers chances to win new car or truck

Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino is giving its guests several chances to win a new Lexus, Mercedes, Chevy or Nissan car this October. One lucky winner also will be driving away in a new truck on Oct. 27. Everyday in October is “Megaball Frenzy” at Buffalo Thunder. Thirty-four guests will play for their chance to win $100,000 and a new car. Every “Megaball Frenzy” participan­t will win slot play during the promotion.

Guests receive an entry with every 60 points earned playing their preferred Buffalo Thunder games. Amp up your chances by playing at Buffalo Thunder on Wednesdays in October. Patrons earn 10 times the entries when they play on Wednesdays.

Need a vacation? Buffalo Thunder is giving its slot players an opportunit­y to hop onboard a seven-day Carnival cruise to the Caribbean. Play for your seat in the $200,000 Caribbean Cruise tournament Fridays through Sundays in October. The four top point challenge winners and one wild card winner will enjoy a Carnival cruise with a guest and earn a spot in the $200,000 slot tournament. Winners will be announced at 5 p.m. Nov. 4.

Get into the football season spirit with the “Pick the Pros” promotion. Pick the winning teams for NFL Sunday and Monday games for your chance at weekly prizes. The top player will win a weekend stay and a “Big Game” VIP party for up to 10 guests. Earn 100 points playing your favorite Buffalo Thunder games to participat­e in “Pick the Pros.”

Buffalo Thunder has several entertainm­ent options this October. Two pianists have a friendly battle through song, music and humor, during dueling pianos at Shadeh Nightclub. The event is $5 per person and open to patrons ages 21 and older.

Comic book enthusiast­s are invited to attend the Santa Fe Comic Con from Oct. 19 to Oct. 21 at Buffalo Thunder. The event will feature a number of comic book artists, cosplay and more. Special guests include actor Erik Estrada; actress Cassandra Peterson, known for her portrayal of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark; profession­al wrestler Al Snow; and actor and comedian Kel Mitchell.

Recording artist Joy Villa will perform Oct. 26 at Buffalo Thunder. Villa blends alternativ­e rock, soul and pop into “finely crafted tunes that aim to motivate and inspire,” according to Villa’s website. Villa’s EP “I Make Static” hit No. 1 on iTunes and Amazon after her appearance at the 2017 Grammy Awards. Her album also reached No. 1 in the alternativ­e and rock charts and ranked No. 12 on Billboard’s Top 200 albums, according to her website.

Buffalo Thunder continues the fun events in November with the Margarita Festival on Nov. 17 and the Lantern Launch North on Nov. 21. A portion of the proceeds from the Lantern Launch benefit The Food Depot food bank, which aims to end hunger in northern New Mexico.
