‘Implanted,’ ‘Lightning’ authors to read today

AT BOOKWORKS: Lauren Teffeau, author of “Implanted,” and Rebecca Roanhorse, author of “Trail of Lightning,” will read their books at 3 p.m. today. Scott Wiggerman and David Meischen of Dos Gatos Press present their monthly free poetry writing workshop using prompts from writers found in their Wingbeats Anthologie­s at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9.
