Frances A. Keeler
Frances was born on September
8, 1925 in Lewisburg, PA to Salvatore and Valencia Annicelli; first generation immigrants. When she was 5 the family moved to Albuquerque,
NM. She graduated from high school from St. Vincent Academy for girls and immediately went to work at Albuquerque National Bank where she worked for forty-seven years. Through the years Frances worked in many departments culminating in her appointment to Vice President in the marketing department - one of the first women to be appointed to a V.P. position at the bank. During her tenure at the bank Frances was honored as Best Dressed Business Women in the Albuquerque Journal. She continued to dress to the nines until her passing. She was an early member of the National Association of Banking Women and the Soroptimist Club, participating in many worthy causes.
Frances and Lee, consummate social butterflies, loved to dance and to travel. They won many awards for best dancers during their travels.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Lee Keeler; her parents and her younger sister, Carmoline Annicelli Grady. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Bing Grady and his wife Kellie Green Grady. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of Our Lady of Annunciation Parish. A visitation was held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. a Rosary followed at 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH-Wyoming.
A Mass took place Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Annunciation Church, 2532 Vermont St. NE Albuquerque, NM 87110.
