Beverly Ann Clouse Cobb-Abbey
Beverly Ann Clouse Cobb-Abbey of Albuquerque, N.M. passed away, at age 85 on September 24, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on January 10, 1933, the first of four children of Bernard (Bernie) and Mary Ruth Clouse.
Beverly was a gifted quilter. She created many beautiful heirloom quality quilts for each member of her family which her children, grandchildren and her great grand daughter will cherish throughout their lives and for many generations to come.
She inherited her mother’s gift for home cooking and created a loving family life for her children. From New Mexican dishes to Christmas baked goods of peanut brittle, divinity and fudge. She made each Christmas holiday special for her family decorating their home for the holidays and displaying her many nativity scenes throughout the house.
She was an avid art collector of many local southwestern artists and she passed many of those fine examples of southwestern art on to her children.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Mary Ruth Clouse, her children’s father Gerald A. Cobb and a brother Alan B. Clouse and husband Don Abbey.
Beverly is survived by her three sons, Jerry Cobb, Jr., his wife Trish, Larry A. Cobb his wife Linda, and M. Craig Cobb, his wife Nicole and a great-granddaughter, Margot; four grand children, Mackenzie, Sean, Elicia and Jordan. Other surviving family members are two brothers, David Clouse and Danny Clouse.
Beverly will be buried at Sunset Memorial next to her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to a cancer fund of your choice.
