NEW MEXICO was down to Utah State 52-5 at halftime, while giving up 557 yards. The Aggies could have put 1,000 yards on the Lobos if they’d kept their starters in the game and they still set a school record for offense, totaling 704 yards with 3 touchdown scoring drives in under 60 seconds each. After that most Lobo fans, anyway, weren’t in the mood for a party. However, we committed fans (for now) will still be headed to the 8:15 p.m. kickoff (tonight) vs. San Diego State. Show us something, Lobos. — Joseph

WHEN TWO students fight at UNM the matter is turned over to the Office of Equal Opportunit­y. Does this office decide if there was an unfair advantage by one of the opponent’s or an unequal amount of punches thrown? — MarkSD

BOB DAVIE gave two scholarshi­ps to two outsiders that we found out this week made New Mexico look bad. One hurt another football player and put him in the hospital and the other a former player was arrested for receiving stolen property at a pawn shop. Two scholarshi­ps that could of went to two deserving New Mexicans instead of the non New Mexicans that made New Mexico look bad. — NM native

CAN WE STOP with the AP rankings in articles about (college football) now that (the College Football Playoff) rankings are out(?) I get that AP feels UCF is No. 9 but CFP has UCF No. 12. Which do you think will matter more at the end of the season? — BC
