Sandoval County is getting two new county commission­ers and higher property taxes to support treatment for traumatic injuries and mental illness.

By 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, the New Mexico Secretary of State’s website showed all Sandoval County precincts had partially reported, but none had fully reported.

According to those preliminar­y results, Republican Michael Meek was winning the District 3 County Commission seat, beating independen­t Kathleen Colley, 56 percent to 44 percent.

Democrat Katherine Bruch was winning the District 1 seat, with 62 percent of the vote over appointed incumbent Republican James HoldenRhod­es.

In the Sandoval County sheriff race, Democrat Jesse James Casaus was ahead with 54 percent of the vote over Republican Darrell “Keith” Elder.

Democrat Ann Marie Maxwell-Chavez was beating Republican Daniel Stoddard in the race for the Division 1 magistrate judgeship with 54 percent of the vote. In the Division 3 magistrate judgeship race, incumbent Democrat Delilah Montano-Baca had garnered 53 percent of the vote, holding her seat against Republican challenger Justin Garcia.

Democrat Linda Gallegos had 54 percent of the vote for the county assessor’s office, ahead of Republican Christie Humphrey.

In the race for probate judge, Democrat Charles Aguilar had 53 percent of the vote, leading Republican Sandra Atwood.

Voters also passed all three county bond questions and a new UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center mill levy, with each measure having support above 60 percent.
