Adopt a pet this weekend for just $10

Albuquerque is on board with a national pet adoption event running Friday through Sunday featuring a $10 adoption fee. The city’s Animal Welfare Department is working with Pet Smart Stores and Pet Smart Charities on the National Adoption Weekend. Organizers say this is a great time to adopt a dog or cat. Pets are available for adoption at 305 Eubank NE and 2100 Louisiana NE at Winrock on Friday from noon to 4 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The $10 adoption fee is available at these sites only.
