The Netflix film is in production through mid-December in northern New Mexico.

According to the New Mexico Film Office, production is taking place in Santa Fe, Española, Las Vegas, Cochiti and Abiquiú.

“I’m proud to welcome another great production to New Mexico,” said Film Office Director Nick Maniatis. “Our industry is booming and I’m excited to see more film jobs coming to our state.”

“Rattlesnake” tells the story of a single mother who accepts the help of a mysterious woman after her daughter is bitten by a rattlesnake. She finds herself forced to pay back her “debt” by taking the life of a stranger in the desert town of Tulia, Texas.

Meanwhile Rossi is known for his role as Herman “Shades” Alvarez in “Luke Cage” and Juan Carlos “Juice” Ortiz in “Sons of Anarchy.”

Greenwell starred in “Love & Friendship” and “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.”

According to the film office, the production is employing 100 New Mexico crew members, 20 New Mexico actors and approximately 100 New Mexico background talent.

The feature is directed by Zak Hilditch and produced by Ross M. Dinerstein.

Hilditch teamed with Netflix for his film, “1922.” It is slated to be released in 2019.
