Inn of the Mountain Gods offers new spa to soothe the senses
Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino recently opened the property’s new spa.
The spa’s decor was inspired by the culture of the Mescalero tribe, including warm tones, organic elements and soft lighting, according to an Inn of the Mountain Gods news release. In addition to the soothing decor, guests can enjoy a beer or a glass of wine while being pampered.
A number of calming and rejuvenating services are offered at the spa. Signature treatments include a pore rescue deep cleansing facial, a resurfacing herbal cellulite treatment, a Time for Two couples massage and the Serenity River hot stone massage. A full-service salon offers manicures, pedicures, men and women’s waxing, haircuts and color as well as makeup services, according to the news release.

Inn of the Mountain Gods is hosting its “Texas Ho Ho Hold ’Em Poker Tournament” on Dec. 16. The $20,000 tournament starts at 11 a.m. in the White Mountain Room. Registration for the tournament will be held until Dec. 16, with a $230 buy-in.
Play bingo while enjoying a bite and a cocktail from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. Fridays through Sundays inside Club 49. Paper and electronic packages are available, as well as daubers for purchase. Buy-in sales open 30 minutes before each session. There are plenty of chances to win, with 11 games each session.
Football fans can test their luck during the “Friday Night Football Frenzy” this month. Each week, guests are invited to predict the winning teams for Monday night NFL games and Saturday college football games for a chance to win a share of more than $19,000 in cash and free play. Entries will be printed from 8 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. Drawing times are at 5 p.m. Fridays for college football and at 5:30 p.m. for Monday Night Football.
Get in the holiday spirit with a concert featuring country music legend Tracy Lawrence at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8. The artist, known for such hits as “Sticks and Stones,” “If the Good Die Young,” and “Time Marches On,” recently released a new Christmas album titled “Frozen in Time.” The album features a festive mix of songs and holiday classics. Tickets start at $29, plus fees.
Later this month, guests can head to Ski Apache, which will host its Torchlight Parade With Fireworks Show on Dec. 27. The free event begins with a dummy gelunde launch at 1 p.m. Handcrafted dummies are launched off a jump and judged on distance, height, creativity and crowd response. After the sun sets, torch-bearing skiers will glide down the mountain to the beat of traditional Native American drums. Inn of the Mountain Gods wraps up the month with its “Decades of Celebration” at 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Guests are encouraged to dress in the fashions of their favorite decade and dance the night away to the hits of the 1960s, ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s performed by the cover bands Aquarius and Boombox Heroes. The evening also includes a menu of smoked salmon, prime rib, oysters, chicken piccata and more. Tickets are $125.
