PROMOTIONS
MICHAEL CHICARELLI has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) for University of New Mexico Hospitals. Chicarelli joined UNM Hospital in 1997 as an emergency department nurse and has risen through the ranks holding the positions of emergency department charge nurse; Lifeguard flight nurse; executive director of emergency services; assistant chief nursing officer; and interim chief executive officer. He holds a doctor of nursing practice degree with a health care leadership focus and is a registered nurse and board-certified emergency nurse.
KATHLEEN CARLOW, JD, L.L.M has been promoted to Shareholder at the firm of Swaim, Danner & Carlow. Carlow has 18 years’ experience practicing law and worked for the firm for four years. She practices in the areas of estate planning; probate and trust administration; business planning; real estate; and tax law. Carlow has a L.L.M degree in taxation from the University of Denver.
GABRIEL MONTHAN, M.D. has been promoted to Medical Director of Desert Hills in Albuquerque. Monthan joined the residential treatment center and day treatment program in July of 2017. He has a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University; a medical degree from UNM; and completed a psychiatry residency with an emphasis on child and adolescent psychiatry; and a fellowship, also at UNM.
