AFTER TRYING to watch an NFL game this weekend, I’ve concluded that games need way more commercials. I propose they have a commercial after every play! And, to make your viewing pleasure even more enjoyable, have the players wear logos of advertisers on their jerseys and pants so they resemble NASCAR drivers! And the worst part is the poor NFL players today are way, way underpaid. The NFL - quite a joke. — Just a Guy on the Westside

GREAT RESULT Lobos and Coaches! Results like a Nevada win come from endless dedication. Last summer found senior shooting guard Anthony Mathis in the Davalos Practice Facility every day, with a ball in each hand, dribbling from one end of the floor to the other, in order to improve his dribbling skills, in anticipation of a potential shift to point guard this season. Associate Head Coach Chris Harriman was there with him, giving guidance, support and instruction. Our fan base needs to know that Coach Weir and our team’s work goes on all year long. — Proud Supporter and Fanatic
