Valentine’s Day can be celebrated a number of ways, and Albuquerque area venues are giving you a variety of options. Here are a few.
BOARD GAME LOVE
Spend your Valentine’s Day playing your choice of board games starting at noon Thursday, Feb. 14, at Empire Board Game Library, 3503 E. Central. Couples will receive two unlimited game time passes and any two drinks, including those from the espresso bar, for $20. CHOCOLATE LOVERS FUN
The ChocolateDude and Tractor Brewing Co. have joined forces to present a special Valentine’s Day chocolate and cocktail pairing. Four gourmet truffles created by The ChocolateDude will each be paired with crafted cocktails featuring Tractor distilled spirits. Several Albuquerque musicians will join their significant others to perform their favorite songs together on stage. DJ Nicolatron also will be playing songs throughout the night and host a mini-dance party in the middle. Doors open at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at the Launchpad, 618 W. Central.
DINNER FOR LOVEBIRDS:
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a exclusive dinner at The Crown Room inside The Downs Racetrack & Casino, 145 Louisiana NE. The dinner for two will be offered from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, Feb. 15 and Feb. 16 for $65 per couple. The dinner will feature an appetizer of artichoke hearts with garlic cream sauce, a salad made of fresh beets, sweet potato, arugula, white balsamic vinegar, feta cheese, and olive oil topped with cilantro micro-greens. This open house will showcase many decades of historical and digital memorabilia from the Center for Southwest Research & Special Collections.
