Learn how to release dogs from traps

A presentation on traps on public lands and how to release dogs from a leghold traps will be held today, Sunday, Feb. 10, at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society at 100 Caja del Rio Road.

Users of public lands, dog owners and victims of trapping accidents will be joined by staff and volunteers from WildEarth Guardians and TrapFree New Mexico, among groups pushing for a ban on trapping on public land in New Mexico.

The presentation is scheduled for 12:30-2:30 p.m.
