How do you define “leadership”? Leadership leaves a legacy. A great leader inspires, encourages and empowers those around him/her toward a common goal. The leader leads by example, is not afraid of conflict or failure and always does what he/she believes is right. When the leader is gone, the vision remains.

What do you consider to be the top accomplishment in the past 5 years in our state? Why? Our leadership and representatives have done a good job bringing new businesses into New Mexico. For example, the Facebook Data Center and recent announcements of the Netflix production studio and Stampede Meat will increase jobs and promote economic growth and development in our state.

What has inspired you or been the highlight of your Leadership New Mexico experience so far? I am inspired by the speakers, classmates and former program participants. The speakers are passionate and provide great information. The individuals in the program are dedicated and want to make a difference in our state.
