SF ANIMAL SHELTER & HUMANE SOCIETY

Stop by the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society to meet Ginger. She is an 8-yearold boxer mix pup who is looking for a second chance in life. She currently weighs about 70 pounds, which is a good size for her. Ginger is great on a leash and loves to play.

Baby is a beautiful 2-yearold domestic longhaired haired kitty who weighs about 8 pounds. She is a sweet girl who loves head scratches and pets.

These and other animals are available for adoption from the Santa Fe Animal Shelter at 100 Caja del Rio Rd. The shelter’s adoption hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. See other pets up for adoption online at www. sfhumanesociety.org or call 983-4309 ext. 610.

Visit adoptable animals in the community during the shelter’s mobile adoption event, “Pull for Pups,” from 10 a.m.-noon today at Rowley Farmhouse Ales, 1405 Maclovia St. Then, join the Santa Fe Animal Shelter, Teca Tu and Amp Concerts for Bring Your Dog to the Movie Night at dusk at the Santa Fe Railyard Park, 740 Cerrillos Road. The free event will screen “Isle of Dogs,” with giveaways, food trucks and more.

ESPAÑOLA HUMANE

Come to Española Humane to meet a couple of awesome young dogs. Boris is a darling little guy wanting a job to do. He would be an excellent family member for someone looking for canine company. He wants nothing more than to play with his canine friends and be a part of a family. Boris is about 2 months old and was surrendered by his previous owner. A fenced yard is a requirement. He is great with people and loves long walks. He is ready to be neutered, and is up-to-date on vaccines and is microchipped, which means he can go home soon.

Aries is the sweetest dog around. He’s affectionate, yet playful, and absolutely adores being spoiled. This adult dog is the perfect companion for somebody who wants a dog they can take for walks but also cuddle with on the couch. Although he has been diagnosed with heartworm disease, shelter vets have already started treating it and he will continue to be seen by shelter veterinarians after adoption at no additional charge. Please consider giving Aries a chance in your home. He gets along with other dogs, but has the urge to chase cats, so his home should be cat free. He is about 5½ years old.

These two and many others may be adopted daily from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at Española Humane, 108 Hamm Parkway in Española. 505-753-8662. To see more adoptable pets, log on to www.espanolahumane.org or www.petango.com.
