Joe Flacco, acquired in a trade with Baltimore last winter, will sit out the Hall of Fame Game Thursday vs. Atlanta that kicks off the NFL exhibition slate.

That leaves Kevin Hogan, who was on the team last year but didn’t play a snap, and rookies Drew Lock and Brett Rypien an opportunity to make impressions.

A man who was involved in a car accident with Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott in January 2017 is suing the team and Elliott for $20 million, according to TMZ.com.

The suit alleges that the team conspired with Frisco (Texas) Police “to cover up the details of the wreck at the time.”

Ronnie Hill, who was driving a BMW 750 when it was side-swiped by Elliott’s GMC Yukon SUV, alleges Dallas running backs coach Gary Brown rushed to the scene and told him that the team “would take care of everything.”

The accident occurred four days before Dallas’ playoff game against Green Bay. According to the suit, Elliott was headed to Cowboys’ practice and was running late. Hill alleges Elliott ran a red light.

“If anyone had actually reported the impact of the accident and had Elliott been examined he would have most likely been placed in concussion protocol and out for the Dallas Cowboys upcoming playoff game,” Hill alleges in the suit.

Elliott “barreled through a red light,” causing more than $33,000 in damage to Hill’s vehicle, TMZ reports. Hill claims he suffered “serious and permanent” injuries in the wreck.

The collision was so intense, Hill alleges, that the two vehicles were “wedged together” and a tow truck was needed to pull them apart.

MORE COWBOYS: With Elliott holding out of training camp while seeking a new contract, the Cowboys brought back Alfred Morris, who agreed to terms Monday.

Morris, 30, was the replacement running back for the Cowboys when Elliott was suspended for six games over domestic violence allegations two years ago.

COLTS: Andrew Luck’s injured left leg isn’t getting any better, so the team is sitting down its biggest star.

Luck missed Tuesday’s practice in suburban Indianapolis after telling coaches his strained calf felt worse following the first week of training camp. Coach Frank Reich announced Luck would be sidelined at least three more days and would miss next week’s preseason opener at Buffalo.

The Colts have been playing it safe with Luck ever since he initially got hurt in the spring.

BENGALS: Wide receiver A.J. Green had ankle surgery Tuesday and is expected to miss the start of the season.

Green hurt his left ankle during the opening practice of camp Saturday in Dayton, landing awkwardly after cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick bumped into the star receiver while breaking up a pass.

SEAHAWKS: Seattle firstround pick L.J. Collier, a defensive end, was carted off the practice field with a right leg injury Tuesday.

Collier was rushing the passer during a team session when he grabbed at his lower leg. The NFL Network reported that the injury was a high ankle sprain.

BROWNS: Cleveland will honor Hall of Fame QB Otto Graham with a statue outside FirstEnergy Stadium.

He played 10 seasons with Cleveland (1946-55), leading the Browns to a title game in each one. The Browns will unveil the statue in September.
