LAUNCH A BEER, HELP DEFEAT ALZHEIMER’S
Marble rolls out purple beer to raise awareness of devastating disease
Alzheimer’s Association, Marble Brewery will introduce a specially brewed purple beer to raise funds for and awareness of the disease.
The Alzheimer’s Association, New Mexico Chapter is collaborating with Albuquerquebased Marble Brewery to launch a specially brewed purple beer to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease.
“We are very excited to be working with Marble on this project,” said Nicolette Garcia, the chapter’s interim development director. “They’ve been very supportive of our mission in this state, where over 41,000 New Mexicans are living with Alzheimer’s. Bringing awareness is so key to letting people know that the Alzheimer’s Association is here to help families who are affected.”
Marble Brewery has created a commemorative purple beer, the signature color of the Alzheimer’s Association. The special beer is called “#ENDALZ”, named after the definitive hashtag of the Alzheimer’s Association. It is a blueberry lemon wheat ale, developed by Marble brewer Josh Trujillo.
“We can all do something, and we feel like this is a good way to reach the younger population, letting them know that Alzheimer’s is something we all need to be addressing, regardless of age,” said Geraldine Lucero, Marble Brewery’s marketing and events coordinator.
The public is invited to the beer’s introduction at the Saturday, Aug. 31 launch party at Marble’s flagship brewery and taproom located at 111 Marble Ave NW. A portion of sales will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association, NM Chapter.
