HERON LAKE: Fishing from shore or boats is very slow. Hardly anyone is out there. It is now unlawful to have kokanee salmon in possession. Snagging season begins Friday, Nov. 8, at 12:01 a.m. Dress appropriately as our mornings have been as low as 12 degrees. We should have a better year this year as the kokanee we caught earlier this summer were mostly 13 to 17 inches. Trappings by the Game and Fish Department this summer also resulted in larger fish.
