Eventgoers can also attend a variety of panels throughout the weekend.

Santa Fe Comic Con owner and promoter Jim Burleson is getting in on the excitement with a discussion on Billy the Kid.

“We’ve got a Billy the Kid museum exhibit that’s showing during the Con on Saturday (Oct. 19) which will be really great,” he said.” I actually played Pat Garrett in the TV show ‘Gunslingers’ on American Heroes Channel, so I’ll be giving a talk on the Billy the Kid episode of that series.”

Fans of the original movie “Ghostbusters” will want to make sure to attend on Sunday, Oct. 20, when actor Ernie Hudson will be there.

“Star Trek” fans will not want to miss an appearance by actress Denise Crosby, known for her work on “Star Trek: Next Generation.” Crosby has also starred in the TV series “Ray Donovan” and “The Walking Dead.” Other highly anticipated guests include actor Booboo Stewart from the Disney Channel show “The Descendants.” He also portrayed the character Seth Clearwater in the blockbuster “Twilight” saga and played Thunderbird in the movie “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”

Anime lovers will want to get in line to meet voice actors from the popular series “My Hero Academia.”

“‘My Hero Academia’ is pretty much the hottest anime right now,” Burleson said. “We’ve got three different voice actors from that.”

Voice actor and comedian George Lowe best known for being the voice of Space Ghost on the animated series “Space Ghost Coast to Coast” also will be in attendance signing autographs and chatting with eventgoers. Nineties sitcom fans of the TV show “Blossom” will get their chance to reminisce with actor Joey Lawrence. He will be signing autographs as well as taking photos with attendees for a fee.

The adult costume contest which is one of the event’s biggest draws takes place at 6 p.m. Saturday in the discussion panel room after the showroom doors close.

The children’s costume contest will take place at 5 p.m. Sunday. It is open to ages 15 and younger.
