Enter the world of the odd and bizarre with an ’80s twist during the Stranger Things Arcade Carnival 3.

Tractor Brewing Co. Wells Park will host the third annual event on Saturday, Oct. 26. Attendees can play 20 retro arcade games and pinball machines to their hearts’ content or dance to the ’80s sounds of Fan Club aka DJ Riff Rat at 7 p.m. and jam out to Meryl Streep Jr. at 9 p.m. Prism Bitch performs its welcome home show at 11 p.m., and New Mexico punk band Russian Girlfriends headlines at midnight. Odd City will be doing an ’80s-themed art installation that will be projected behind the performers.

“Some of the bands are playing ’80s covers,” said Jeremy Kinter, marketing and events director for Tractor Brewing Co. “The DJ’s an ’80s, dark wave, goth DJ. Kind of keeping it in the ‘Stranger Things’ ’80s realm.”

As its name indicates, the event will have some “Stranger Things” influence based on the popular Netflix sci-fi series. There will be a photo booth with a couch and lighting similar to the Christmas lights used by one of the show’s main characters to communicate with her son who has gone to “the upside down.”

Artists Jeremy Montoya and Jon Sanchez, who created the event poster, will be on-site doing live printing of the posters.

“They’re amazing,” Kinter said. “I love them so much. We’ve had (their work hanging) in our hallway here at Wells Park for, like, two years now, and they sell like gangbusters. They kill it. They’re sweethearts too.”

Eventgoers can have their own art drawn by a henna artist or inked on their skin by Archetype Tattoo.

Head outside to the 40- by 40-foot circus tent for a performance by Blackout Theatre Company at 10 p.m. It will be doing a musical and theatrical show titled “Darlin & The Rodeo Runners: Family Band for a Clown Funeral.”

Tractor will be serving its signature craft beer and ciders, as well as its distilled spirits. Guests can also purchase beer in the parking lot so they do not have to treck back to the bar each time and can enjoy the entertainment. Tractor will also offer a special food menu for the event. Attendees can also enjoy waffles from With Love Waffles food truck.

“We’ll be offering some food specials, because it’s such a busy night we have to limit our food menu,” Kinter said.
